New Delhi: The total market capitalization of eight out of the ten most valuable companies surged by ₹1,69,506.83 crore last week, reflecting a positive trend on Dalal Street, with Bajaj Finance leading the gains.
During the previous week, the BSE benchmark index rose by 1,193.94 points, marking an increase of 1.47%.
Among the top ten firms, Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, TCS, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Infosys, and Bajaj Finance all recorded gains, while Hindustan Unilever Ltd and LIC saw a decline in their valuations.
Bajaj Finance's market capitalization increased by ₹40,788.38 crore, bringing its total to ₹6,24,239.65 crore.
Infosys added ₹33,736.83 crore to reach a valuation of ₹6,33,773.30 crore.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) experienced a rise of ₹30,970.83 crore, elevating its market cap to ₹11,33,926.72 crore, while Reliance Industries saw an increase of ₹27,741.57 crore, reaching ₹18,87,509.28 crore.
The valuation of State Bank of India climbed by ₹15,092.06 crore to ₹7,59,956.75 crore, and ICICI Bank's market cap rose by ₹10,644.91 crore to ₹10,12,362.33 crore.
HDFC Bank's valuation edged up by ₹6,141.63 crore to ₹14,84,585.95 crore, and Bharti Airtel's market cap increased by ₹4,390.62 crore to ₹10,85,737.87 crore.
Conversely, Hindustan Unilever's valuation fell by ₹12,429.34 crore to ₹6,06,265.03 crore.
Life Insurance Corporation of India's (LIC) market cap decreased by ₹1,454.75 crore, bringing it down to ₹5,53,152.67 crore.
Currently, Reliance Industries holds the title of the most valuable firm, followed by HDFC Bank, TCS, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Infosys, Bajaj Finance, Hindustan Unilever, and LIC.
